NCBI (GenBank) Sequence Fetcher

Description:

With a GenBank accession ID, obtain sequence at a specific relative distance from the beginning of a specified GenBank record.

Rationale:

Many publications describe transcription factor binding sites and promoters occuring at a specific distance within an archived sequence. Finding these sequences can be time-consuming and error-prone. This script takes in relative coordinates and gather sequence which can be inspected for the presence of reported sequences. If the sequence desired, is not found on either strand, try the GenBank Sequence Scanner to help find the location of your desired sequence.

Script:

Enter NCBI Accession ID:
EXAMPLE:
L11910 (Human)
Relative Start:
EXAMPLE: 90 (from record start)
Relative End:
EXAMPLE: 100 (from record start)
Strand:
